Taiki-cho, home to SUGOMORI, is a South Tokachi land opened up by Meiji-era pioneers. Historic sites such as the Banseisha settlement still remain, quietly telling the story of the town's beginnings. At the southern edge of the vast Tokachi Plain, at the foot of the Hidaka Mountains, and about an hour by car from Obihiro, this is a place to encounter that pioneer history alongside an unspoiled landscape.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

  • Check-in is from 3:00 PM (since check-in is unattended, you may arrive any time after that).
    Check-out is at 10:00 AM.
    Please note that we are unable to extend check-out time.

How many guests can stay?

  • The whole house is reserved for one party a day, up to 4 guests.
    Please feel free to contact us if you are traveling with children.

By when should I change or cancel my reservation?

  • A cancellation fee applies starting 14 days before your stay. Please see our Cancellation Policy for details.

    You may park on-site.

  • This is a room-only plan, so meals are not included.
    The kitchen and cookware are fully equipped, so you're welcome to cook for yourselves.

    Fresh Tokachi ingredients can be found in central Taiki-cho (5 minutes by car) or in Obihiro.

Can we have a barbecue?

  • Yes, you can enjoy BBQ on-site.
    A grill, charcoal, and fire starter are provided.
    Please bring your own ingredients, or purchase them in central Taiki-cho.

Can we bring pets?

  • We're sorry, but pets are not permitted at this time.

Is there anywhere nearby to shop?

  • There is a supermarket and convenience stores in central Taiki-cho, about 5 minutes by car.
    Obihiro City, about an hour by car, also offers Tokachi's local food scene and large shopping malls.
